Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of our frequently asked questions which may answer some of your questions.

What is your new patient procedure?

Our new patient procedure at Head First Oncology is designed to make your experience as seamless and convenient as possible. Here's how it works:

  1. Schedule an Appointment: Contact our office to schedule your initial appointment. Our friendly staff will assist you in finding a suitable time that works for you.

  2. (Coming Soon) Patient Portal Registration: Once your appointment is scheduled, you'll receive an invitation to our patient portal. This online platform is where you'll complete your patient registration, including filling out essential consent forms and providing necessary medical information.

  3. Medical History and Information: Through the patient portal, you can securely enter your medical history and any relevant information. This step helps us gain a comprehensive understanding of your health and specific needs.

  4. Appointment Confirmation: Before your scheduled appointment, you'll receive a confirmation message or call from our team to ensure that everything is in order and to address any questions or concerns you may have.

  5. First Visit: On the day of your first visit, please arrive a little early to complete any remaining paperwork or discuss any additional information. Dr. Virginia Stark-Vance and our team will provide you with a warm welcome and ensure you have a comfortable and informative experience.

At Head First Oncology, we prioritize patient convenience and privacy through our patient portal. We look forward to helping you on your journey to better health. How much will my copayment be?

The amount of your copayment can vary depending on several factors, including your specific insurance plan, the type of medical services you receive, and the terms outlined in your insurance policy. Copayments are typically determined by your insurance company and may be different for different types of services or providers.

To find out the exact amount of your copayment for services at Head First Oncology, we recommend reaching out to your insurance provider directly. They can provide you with specific information about your copayment responsibilities, as well as any other details related to your coverage.

If you have any questions or need assistance in understanding your insurance coverage, our staff at Head First Oncology is here to help. We can work with you to navigate the insurance process and ensure you have a clear understanding of your financial responsibilities for your medical care.

I don’t have my insurance card with me, can I still receive treatment?

Certainly, you can still receive treatment at Head First Oncology even if you don't have your insurance card with you. While having your insurance card is helpful for verifying your coverage and processing claims, it is not typically required for you to receive immediate medical care.

Our priority is your health and well-being. When you arrive for your appointment, our staff will work with you to collect your insurance information and make any necessary arrangements. This may involve providing your insurance details verbally or through other means to ensure that your treatment can proceed smoothly.

However, it's important to note that if we do not have your insurance information on file at the time of your visit, we may need to charge you out of pocket for the services provided. To avoid this, we encourage patients to provide us with their insurance details in advance so that we can verify coverage and ensure a seamless billing process. Our team is here to assist you in navigating the administrative aspects of your visit, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us provide you with the best care possible.
