Dr. Virginia Stark-Vance is an esteemed medical oncologist at her private practice, Head First Oncology, nestled in the vibrant heart of Dallas, Texas. Her remarkable journey in the medical field began with the highest honors as a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, where she delved into groundbreaking research in light and electron microscopy, laying the foundation for her lifelong dedication to innovation.

With unwavering determination, Dr. Stark-Vance embarked on her medical odyssey, earning a coveted spot at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. For the next four years, she continued to push the boundaries of biomedical research, an experience that led her to the prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Scholars program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Here, she became a pivotal member of the pioneering "Gene Team," a laboratory on the forefront of human gene therapy.

After earning her medical degree, Dr. Stark-Vance pursued a rigorous residency in internal medicine at the renowned Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C., further honing her skills and expertise. Her thirst for knowledge led her back to the National Institutes of Health for an oncology fellowship, where her research team achieved remarkable success in developing innovative treatments for primary central nervous system and ocular lymphoma.

In 1996, she brought her wealth of knowledge and expertise back to her beloved Texas, establishing her private practice. Dr. Stark-Vance has continued to break new ground in the field, authoring clinical trials and publishing groundbreaking research, including the pioneering clinical trial of Avastin in high-grade glioma. Her dedication to advancing patient care and treatment options has earned her membership in prestigious organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Society of Neuro-Oncology.

Since 1998, Dr. Stark-Vance has been an integral part of the medical community at Medical City Dallas Hospital, where her unwavering commitment to patient care continues to shine brightly.
